Route 66
Route 66, also known as the Main Street of America, Mother Road, or Will Rogers Highway, is one of the major historic transportation routes in the United States. Stretching approximately 2,448 miles (3,940 kilometers), it spans eight states and three time zones, running all the way from Chicago to Los Angeles.
Certain sections of the road in Illinois, Missouri, New Mexico, and Arizona have been designated as the "Route 66 Historic Route," forming part of the National Scenic Byway. The road's endpoint is on the Pacific Coast Highway in Santa Monica, California.
One of the most famous towns along Route 66 is Kingman, located in Arizona. It serves as the heart of Route 66 and is considered a sacred place for experiencing the essence of the iconic highway.
